The Pathways to Prosperity Retreat, presented by MyFairyGodParents.org, is a transformative week-long program designed to empower justice-impacted teens. By providing them with the experiences and skills needed to break the cycle of negative behaviors and foster a path towards a brighter future, this retreat is a unique opportunity for participants to step out of their usual environment and immerse themselves in a supportive and inspiring setting.

Vision Statement

To establish a sustainable, semi-annual retreat program that serves as a beacon of hope and change for justice-impacted youth, with the ultimate goal of opening two group-style, gender-specific homes in major cities.


Program Highlights

  • Self-Discovery and Goal Setting: Workshops on self-awareness, personal strengths, and goal-setting exercises.
  • Career Exploration and Skill Building: Hands-on workshops in entrepreneurship, technology, and creative arts, with guest speakers from various industries.
  • Overcoming Challenges and Building Resilience: Coping strategies, resilience-building activities, and inspirational talks.
  • Healthy Relationships and Positive Choices: Discussions on healthy relationships, peer pressure, and role-playing scenarios.
  • Community Engagement and Giving Back: Community service projects in St. Thomas and discussions on implementing similar projects at home.
  • Content Creator Session: Using smartphones and CapCut to create short videos or a group film production featuring the participants’ stories and experiences.
  • Financial Literacy Session: Comparing Section 8 Housing public assistance versus building credit to buy a home.
  • Mental Health Session: Led by a psychologist or expert with extensive experience supporting justice-impacted youth and their families.
  • Conflict Resolution Session: Understanding the causes of conflict, effective communication strategies, and techniques for resolving disputes.

1. Complete the Online Registration Form: TBA

2. Parental Consent: Ensure a parental consent letter is included for participants under 18.

3. Photo and Video Release Form: Parents of minors must sign a photo and video release form.


Requirements:

– Minimum age: 16 years old

– Registration is required via Google Form (TBA)

– Parental consent form if under 18 years old

– Signed Photo and Video Release Form (parents must sign for children younger than 18)

– No passports needed for US citizens traveling to USVI. If traveling to the Bahamas, sponsors will cover the cost of passports for 10 teens.
