#FKLMdoc
#FKLMdoc is a documentary film presented by MyFairyGodParents.org, a nonprofit organization. The film is inspired by the experiences of Anyé Young, the teen author of “Teen Guide to Living With Incarcerated Parents.” It aims to shed light on the challenges faced by justice-impacted youth, particularly those with incarcerated parents.
Objectives
- Raise Awareness: Highlight the struggles and resilience of children affected by the incarceration of their parents.
- Advocate for Change: Address issues within the U.S. criminal justice system, particularly the impact of mandatory minimum sentencing laws on families.
- Support Justice-Impacted Youth: Provide a platform for these children to share their stories and advocate for a brighter future.
Current Status
The project is currently in the development phase, with filming slated to begin in the summer of 2024. The team is actively seeking support through fundraising efforts to bring this important story to life.
