My Fairy GodParents

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization

Our mission is to provide a platform that amplifies the voices of underserved youth in low-income communities through the art of filmmaking; while encouraging diverse, inclusive and authentic content creation.

In the heart of every community lies a story waiting to be told, a voice yearning to be heard. At My Fairy GodParents (MFGP), we believe that storytelling is not just an art, but a powerful tool for change, inspiration, and connection. Established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our mission resonates through the corridors of underserved communities, where we dedicate ourselves to amplifying the voices of youth who, against all odds, have stories to share with the world.

Our journey began with a simple belief: that every child, irrespective of their background, holds a unique perspective and an inherent capability to inspire. In low-income communities where opportunities are often scarce, MFGP provides a beacon of hope and a platform for expression through the art of filmmaking. We invite these young storytellers to not only dream but to materialize their visions, encouraging them to create diverse, inclusive, and authentic content that reflects their realities, aspirations, and the world as they see it.

At MFGP, we don’t just teach filmmaking; we foster a sense of belonging, understanding, and mutual respect among our participants. By equipping them with the tools, skills, and confidence needed to express themselves, we empower these young creators to become not just filmmakers but changemakers within their communities. Our commitment lies in nurturing these voices, ensuring they echo far beyond the confines of their immediate surroundings, to touch hearts, open minds, and inspire change across the globe. Join us on this remarkable journey, as we work together to transform lives through the power of storytelling.
